Illinois Music Educators Association (ILMEA): All-State Festival
Every year, South High Music Students have the chance to be involved in a competitive audition to place in a District Music Festival. Students with the highest scores at the District level earn the title as an All-State Musician. The Illinois Music Educators Association features All-State Bands, Choirs, Orchestras, Jazz Bands, Vocal Jazz Ensembles, Jazz Combos, Composer Showcases, and Future Music Educators Symposiums. Below is a "Hall of Fame" to honor the South High All-State students of past and present.

“Earning a spot as an All-State musician is the pinnacle of performance success for a high school performer in Illinois” said Fine Arts Department Chairman Glenn Williams. "The long term performance success of these student musicians can be attributed to families, private teachers, and sender school music teachers. South High School is proud of these students for their diligence and commitment to musical excellence and is pleased to have them represent our school, our district and our community as All-State musicians."
